  國際IB教育文憑(International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, IBDP)課程是一個充滿挑戰而且能保持平衡的課程,其最終考試讓學生得到充分準備,升學成功。本課程為期2年,受到國際頂尖大學的認可。

  咨詢時間

  所有的學科老師每周都安排固定的時間在課后為學生提供咨詢。這將鞏固學生在課堂上學習的新知識。同時,老師將記錄所有到來咨詢的學生。

  同輩小組學習/指導練習

  IBDP對擁有堅固基礎的學生而言也是極具挑戰性的。在學期末當所有成績公布后,校方將為在所有學科表現一般的學生提供同輩輔導,讓成績優秀的學生為其需要幫助的同學給予輔導。此指導練習也開放給在學習上要求得到更多幫助的學生。

  小組學習

  小組學習在第3個學期開始直到課程結束為止。這將促進學生之間的認識,并為他們日后組織小組作業起著非常有效的作用。小組學習是在第4個學期開始的密集復習計劃(Intensive Revision Programme, IRP)里重要且主要的元素。

  指導老師系統(Mentor-Mentee System)

  指導老師系統為建立學生的自信心以及幫助學生適應大學生活而設。學生(Mentee)將跟隨一位指導老師(Mentor),指導老師將在為期2年的課程里監督學生的學習,并引導學生自我發展

  CAS

  CAS即創意(Creativity)、行動(Action)、服務(Service)活動。所有IBDP學生必須在畢業以前完成共150個小時的CAS。每個學生將有一位經驗豐富的CAS專門協調員協助其計劃和準備CAS活動。泰萊學院斯理哈達馬斯校區有著許多非常活躍的學生組織,IBDP的學生可依個人興趣和喜好加入其中。學生也可依個人喜好和需要組織活動,包括創辦新團體或組織每周活動。

  大學咨詢與支援服務(升學輔導中心)

  泰萊升學輔導中心里的專門輔導員為學生提供各種升學資訊、大學入學要求、住宿問詢等等。來自不同國家的大學代表定期來訪泰萊學院,為學生舉辦各種說明會和展覽。

  IBDP學生必須選修6門高級學科(Higher level, HL)或普通學科(Standard Level, SL)。學生必須從1-6組各選1門學科,以確保學生在語言、社會研究、科學實驗、純美術和數學等方面有廣泛的認識。

  學生可在第6組里選擇1門藝術性學科或在第1-6組里任意選擇1門學科作為第6門學科。

  學生必須選修至少3(不多于4)門高級學科(建議為240課時),其他的學科則為普通學科(建議為150課時)。

  最佳語言和外語

  學生需學習2種語言;從第1組中選擇1種語言作為“最佳語言”學習,學生將以此語言為媒介學習文學;從第2組中選擇一門外語學習,學生將掌握此語言,其程度相當于母語。

  第1組 : 英語A1

  The Language A1 programme is a pre-university course that comprises of literary works written in English and works translated into EnglishThe purpose of this course is to expose students to various conceptions, interpretations and experiences of the worldThe discussion of literature requires a clear expression of ideas both in oral and written formThe aims of the A1 Language programme are to encourage a personal appreciation of literature and develop an understanding of various literary techniquesIn addition, it will broaden students‘ perspective of other cultures, languages, periods, genres and contexts.

  第2組: 法語

  The language ab initio course is a pre-university course designed for beginners who have no previous experience of learning the target languageThe focus of this course is for students to acquire a basic level of proficiency through the four basic skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking)The emphasis is on a variety of everyday situations and social interactions which the learner will encounter when carrying out communicative tasks

  The aim of the course is to develop a variety of linguistic skills, explore different aspects of a topic through a range of resources and for the learner to be acquainted with a new, rich culture previously unknown.

  第3組 : 商業和管理

  The aims of subject in group 3, individuals and societies are to: encourage the systematic and critical study of: human experience and behaviour; physical, economic and social environments; the history and development of social and cultural institutionsDevelop in the student the capacity to identify, to analyse critically and to evaluate theories, concepts and arguments about the nature and activities of the individual and society, enable the student to collect, describe and analyse data used in studies of society, to test hypotheses and interpret complex data and source material, promote the appreciation of the way in which learning is relevant to both the culture in which the student lives, and the culture of other societies, develop an awareness in the student that human attitudes and opinions are widely diverse and that a study of society requires an appreciation of such diversity.

  And enable the student to recognize that the content and methodologies of the subjects in group 3 are contestable and that their study requires the toleration of uncertainty.

  第3組 : 經濟

  This course strictly follows the IB course requirements for Economics HLThe topics include both micro and macro economic components, besides international and development economicsTo promote an awareness in the students of internationalism in the course, they are taught to consider economic theories, ideas and happenings from the points of view of different individuals, nations and culturesEconomic issues or problems are discussed from a global and international perspective applying not to any single country in particular but to the world economy instead

  This course has a thematic approachThe unifying themes are Structure and Function, Universality versus Diversity, Equilibrium within Systems, and EvolutionThis is an experimental science course and so practical work is an important and integral part of the course.

  第4組 : 生物

  The course will provide a body of knowledge, methods and techniques which characterise science and technologyThis will be achieved by the teaching of the core, AHL and option components of the syllabusTraditional teaching methods and multimedia products (video, DVD, VCD, CD-ROM and the internet ) will be usedAn ICT culture will be encouraged in the classroomThe international dimension will be reinforced by the use of web sites and networking via emailEmphasis will also be placed on the moral, ethical, social, economic and environmental implications of using science and technology

  Among the skills that students will need to demonstrate at the end of the course are: Personal skills of cooperation, perseverance and responsibility for effective scientific investigation and problem-solving, manipulative/practical skills to carry out scientific investigations with precision and safety and communication skills.

  Assessment will be by means of: the external assessment which consists of three written papers and the internal assessment which consists of investigations and the group 4 projectThe course aims to provide opportunities for scientific research and creativity within a global context which will stimulate and challenge studentsIt wants students to acquire knowledge in science and technology and help students to develop experimental and investigative skills.

  第4組 : 物理

  Students are aware of how scientists work and communicate with each other and are also aware the “Scientific method: involves the formation, testing and modification of hypotheses through observation and measurement, under the controlled conditions of an experimentThe objectives for the subject reflect those parts of the aims that will be assessedWherever appropriate, the assessment will draw upon environmental and technological contexts and identify the social, moral and economic effects of scienceThe diploma programme physics course allows students to develop traditional practical skills and techniques and increase facility in the use of mathematics, which is the language of physicsIt also allows students to develop interpersonal skills, and information and communication technology skills which are essential in modern scientific endeavour and are important life-enhancing, transferable skills in their own rightAssessment will be by means of: the external assessment which consists of three written papers and the internal assessment which consists of investigations and the group 4 project.The course aims to provide opportunities for scientific research and creativity within a global context which will stimulate and challenge studentsIt wants students to acquire knowledge in science and technology and help students to develop experimental and investigative skills.

  第5組 : 數學

  This subject is designed for students with strong background in mathematicsStudents with genuine interest can continue to study in mathematics in university levelOthers need to acquire the mathematical background for further studies in related fields such as physics, engineering and technology.

  The aims of these courses are to enable candidates to: appreciate the beauty, power, usefulness, cultural and historical properties of mathematics, develop logical, critical and creative thinking skills ,develop mathematical knowledge, concept and principles, refine and apply the power of abstraction and generalization, develop an awareness of, and utilize the potential of technological development in mathematical context, develop patience, persistence and perseverance in problem solving, able to communicate mathematically, both clearly and confidently, in a variety of context and acquire the mathematical background necessary for further study in this and related subjects.

  第5組 : 數學研究

  This subject is catered for students with varied backgrounds and abilitiesIt is designed to build confidence and encourage an appreciation of mathematics in students who do not anticipate a need for mathematics in their future studiesStudents taking this course need to be already equipped with fundamental skills and a rudimentary knowledge of basic processes.

  The aims of these courses are to enable candidates to: appreciate the beauty, power, usefulness, cultural and historical properties of mathematics, develop logical, critical and creative thinking skills ,develop mathematical knowledge, concept and principles, refine and apply the power of abstraction and generalisation, develop an awareness of, and utilize the potential of technological development in mathematical context, develop patience, persistence and perseverance in problem solving, able to communicate mathematically, both clearly and confidently, in a variety of context and acquire the mathematical background necessary for further study in this and related subjects.

  第6組 : 戲劇藝術

  IB Theatre is intended to provide a dynamic and wide ranging introduction to theatre in its many forms in the world and throughout timeThe purpose of this course is to expose students to four interdependent components, which are theatre in the making, theatre in the world, theatre in performance and an independent projectThe aims of the theatre course is to enable students to experience and participate in a range of varied theatre activities, to familiarise themselves with forms of theatre (local and other cultures), discover different theatre traditions from a historical angle, to build the confidence to explore and experiment to work on individual and team projects and to understand the holistic, changing and evolving nature of theatre.

  除此之外,學生必須完成IBDP課程所規定的下列部分:

  理論知識(Theory of Knowledge, TOK)

  學生必須掌握跨學科的理論知識,其目的在于刺激學生,對無論在課上或課外所獲得的知識和經驗進行批判。這將挑戰學生對基礎知識的認知,意識主觀思想和思想偏見,并培養分析理性辯論中的證據的能力。

  學生將以不同的方式在不同的知識層面上表達其批判思想,并認識知識在全球社會所扮演的角色。這將使學生意識自己成為一個精于思考的人,明白復雜的知識,并

  認識責任感對當今相互連接的世界的重要性。

  作為最終考試,學生必須完成一篇不少于1200字(不多于1600字)的文章。此文章的題目必須選自由IBO所提供的10個題目。

  作為校內評估,學生必須在課內完成至少一個以個人或小組為單位的課堂演示,并完成一分自我評估報告。課堂演示是構成課程的必須部分。

  畢業論文

  此要求的目的在于在學生感興趣的課題里,提供一個深入學習與探討的學習機會。此畢業論文為一自我學習導向的研究項目,論文篇幅不超過4000字,且必須獨立完成。這為大學級別的研究要求提供了實用的參考經驗。從選擇合適的研究課題到最終完成畢業論文,學生必須在限定的時間內利用有效資源完成所有研究。本評估注重研究進度、研究課題的表達方式、研究方法的選擇和拓展、個人對課題的探討、想法陳述以及辯論。這有助于培養分析能力、綜合能力以及評估知識的能力。在這期間,學生將獲得一位指導老師以協助其進行研究并得到適當的指導。

  Creativity, Action, Service

  While helping students acquire international perspectives and understanding is essential, it is also considered important to develop a “will to act” and the skills and values needed to make a positive contribution to societyEducation does not begin or end in the classroomCreativity, action, service (CAS) provides a framework for experiential learning and reflection about that learningThis process of application and reflection provides an opportunity to extend what is learned in the classroom and, in turn, for the CAS experience to have an impact on classroom learning.

  All CAS activities are intended to develop self-confidence, commitment, determination, and to broaden horizons and enrich experienceThe service component of CAS is particularly important to the IB philosophy as it is hoped that experiential learning through service, and reflection on that experience, will develop lifelong compassion and a willingness to help othersStudents may directly or indirectly engage in work on global problems, or work with other people at a local level, developing their capacity to function collaborativelyEducating the whole person includes exposure to artistic, recreational and sporting activities and the enjoyment of purposeful leisureStudents can include a wide range of activities in their CAS programme, provided they achieve an overall balance, incorporating all three elements either as separate activities or as parts of larger challenges.
